There are many ways of which you can recover your frozen PC, depending on what the problem is. All you have to do is wait for few seconds; your PC might get hung up while doing some work and then unfreeze by itself in a few seconds.

When a full-screen application, like a game, Have freezes and it prevents you from leaving it, you will have to press the Alt+F4 key. This automatically closes the application when the game is just experiencing a graphical problems, but you have to know that it won’t work if the application has frozen completely.

In other to see if your computer is still responding, all you have to do is press Ctrl+Alt+Delete. From this screen, you can click to open the Task Manager (and then close any running applications), or you can log out of or restart the PC. If the screen doesn’t appear, you might not be able to recover the PC without rebooting it.

If you can get to the process of opening the Task Manager, and you might be able to recover it from the freezing. (And you can also press the Ctrl+Shift+Esc in other to open the Task Manager.)

Please select the “Processes” tab—if you can find it, click on “More Details.” to locate any processes which is making use of a lot of CPU—you can click on the CPU section header in some to sort by the CPU usage and to see the most demanding processes at the top of the list. Tap process in other to select it, and then tap “End Task” to forcibly end the program. If there is no unsaved work, you have to click the power button which is at the bottom-right corner of the Ctrl+Alt+Delete screen then select “Restart.” And hopefully, your computer will then work normally after it has rebooted, as this fixes many system problems.

Also you can try pressing Windows+L in other to lock your screen and go back to the sign-in screen. And you can restart your Personal computer from there, too. And, if the Ctrl+Alt+Delete didn’t work, this method probably won’t either.

If none of the above methods work and your computer is not responding to anything, there’s only one simple way to recover from this;—a hard shut down.
